Fall Equinox - Regular Meeting Maple Leaf Speaker Series

  • Bath Masonic Hall 428 Main Street Bath Bath, ON, K0H 1G0 Canada (map)

As the light and darkness stand in perfect balance, we gather in Lodge to mark the Fall Equinox, a sacred turning point in the cycle of the year. In harmony with nature’s rhythm, this observance invites us to reflect upon balance, gratitude, and the fruits of our labor.

The equinox has long symbolized the harvest season, when the rewards of diligence and patience are gathered in. Just as the fields yield their bounty, so too do our labors in Lodge and in life come to fruition. It is a time to give thanks for abundance, to recognize the importance of unity, and to prepare for the inward journey that the coming darker months will bring.

During the tyled portion of our meeting, Bro. Joshua Quesnelle will be sharing his thoughts and experiences on being raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason.

We are excited to bring back our Maple Leaf Speaker Series. This year, we welcome Bro. Joseph Martinez. Bro. Joe is a three-time Past Master of Manasseh Lodge No. 182, A.F. & A.M., in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Bro. Joe is again serving as the District Education Officer for the 4th Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Virginia. He is also a Mason in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Kansas, the District of Columbia, and the UGLE. He is a member of the York Rite, the Scottish Rite, the Allied Masonic Degrees, Knight Masons, YRSC, Operatives, and the SRICF. He is a Founder and Host of Esotericon® and one of the Hosts of The Masonic Roundtable Podcast. Bro. Joe enjoys focusing on and researching the Initiatic Experience, Rituals of Initiation, and the Mysteries of Ancient Civilizations, as well as their synergies with Craft Masonry.

The topic of the presentation is The Fractal Geometry of CreationThis presentation discusses the shift in understanding from the understanding of Euclidean geometry, which dominated Western thought for millennia, to a shift in understanding the most important of the Liberal Arts in the light of Fractals, and how creation, the human experience, and the journey towards enlightenment can be better described using the language of Fractal Geometry.
